MONT ALTO, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto athletic department saw 33 student-athletes representing all five of the department's winter and spring programs honored on the Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
To earn the distinction, student-athletes must earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 during their semester of competition or own a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and be at least a sophomore in both their academic and athletic standing.
The Nittany Lions had a total of 71 student-athletes named to the PSUAC All-Academic Team during the 2018-19 academic year. The baseball team led all winter/spring squads with 11 honorees, while the softball program had an impressive 10 of their 13 members on the roster represented on the Dean's List during their semester of competition.
The athletic department, which sponsors 12 intercollegiate programs combined for a 3.03 GPA during the spring semester. Mont Alto had 41 student-athletes representing 10-of-12 teams named to the Dean's List, which requires a 3.50 grade point average.
