Mont Alto Athletics Assist at the 18th Annual IceFest in Chambersburg

MONT ALTO, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto Athletic Department and the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) volunteered their time and effort helping at the double-wide kids ice slide at the IceFest in downtown Chambersburg on Sunday, Feb. 2.

The Chambersburg IceFest is the largest ice festival in Pennsylvania and was originated in 2002 to help shake the mid-winter blues that fall upon us. Throughout the four-day festival events included the official the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, live carvings, Snowfall Ball, Chili Q, Beer Garden, live glass blowing demonstrations, Icing on the Cake, the free double-wide ice slide and Run Your Ice Off 5K.

Members of the cross country, men's soccer, wrestling, men's basketball, softball and baseball programs assisted on the kid-friendly ice slide.
