Penn State Mont Alto hosted their first annual end-of-the-season fall banquet. The event was held at Penn National’s Clubhouse and catered by EJ’s Grill in Chambersburg. All 2011 fall season athletes and coaches were invited to the semi-formal event and enjoyed a delicious meal, awards presentation and guest speaker, Dr. Shane Hotchkiss, the Superintendent of Schools at Bermudian Springs School District. The teams represented were Men’s Soccer, Team Tennis, Women’s Volleyball, Cross Country and Golf.
“Penn State Mont Alto Athletics is extremely proud of our student-athletes for their remarkable job in the classroom and competitive play on the field”, Associate Director of Athletics, Ashley Jacobs comments. “The amount of academic awards that were distributed to the student-athletes means that they are able to continue to be successful in the classroom while they are competing in intercollegiate athletics. We are constantly striving to instill the importance of being a student first, then an athlete.”
Congratulations again to all of the 2011 fall season athletes at Penn State Mont Alto.
