Penn State Mont Alto softball and baseball players are making history!  Junior Frank Grano sent the ball out of the park for a two-run home run against Penn State Wilkes Barre during a double header last Saturday. Grano is the first baseball player to hit a home run on the new baseball field. In addition, Derek Coy was named USCAA Co-Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season. Coy pitched a 13-strikeout no-hitter while allowing only one walk against Penn State Wilkes Barre.  Baseball is 7-3 in PSUAC play.

In softball news, freshman Laura Dell hit a home run and a double during Mont Alto's first game at Penn State Schuylkill.  During the team's second game, junior Vickie Johnson hit a 2-run home run. Softball is 3-3 in PSUAC play.
