Mont Alto Graduates Outstanding Baseball Players

If you are asking for athletes that are involved in campus activities, respected by their teammates and classmates alike, have a passion for baseball, and work as hard as any athlete, Mont Alto was lucky enough to have them.

Zeb Thorson and Cody Casey are those above mentioned athletes here at Mont Alto.  They both graduated this year from Penn State Mont Alto with their Baccalaureate Degree's in Human Development and Family Studies, but not before leaving their marks on Mont Alto's baseball program.

Zeb Thorson has been a model team Captain in 2014. His senior year has seen him record personal best in batting average, hitting .371 as well as 17 stolen bases from the leadoff spot. Zeb's versatility on the baseball field has seen him used as a utility player in 2014 playing both outfield and infield positions, as well as helping out on the mound pitching  PSU Mont Alto to their first win over a NCAA Division III team in many years.

Cody Casey was asked this year to focus on hitting.  PSU Mont Alto baseball had a focus for our 2013 season to improve on our offensive production. Cody was installed into the Designated Hitter position early in the 2014 season with the goal of being the best hitter on the year's squad and aiding in run support from the plate. Cody has achieved personal best and a team best this year hitting a bat blistering .413. Cody is 10th overall in the PSUAC in batting average and has had many timely hits this year.

Penn State Mont Alto congratulates Zeb and Cody on their accomplishments, and thanks them for the hard work and dedication that they provided here at Mont Alto.
