MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Penn State Mont Alto baseball team dropped an 11-1 affair to Ancilla College on Sunday evening at the Ripken Experience.

Mont Alto mustered just five hits, all singles with the team scoring its lone run of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jeremiah Younker (Hagerstown, Md. / Williamsport) drove in Colby Black (Shippensburg, Pa. / Big Spring) on an RBI single, which was already Younker's sixth RBI of the 2018 season. The junior outfielder went 2-for-3 at the plate in Sunday's loss.

Ancilla College struck for a run in the first inning, added four more in the second, notched a pair of runs in the fourth and plated home four more runs in the sixth frame to round out the scoring.

Four pitchers combined to surrender just four hits, but were undone by 10 walks and four hit batters. Colin Osborne (Williamsport, Md. / Williamsport) lasted just an inning and an out, issued five earned runs and struggled to find the strike zone. The bullpen didn't fare much better with Joe Morrett (Dover, Pa. / Dover Area) having the most success, striking out three and was credited with giving up just one earned run in 2.2 innings pitched.

Evertt Kruger earned his first win of the season for the Chargers pitching all six innings and struck out five Nittany Lions.

PSUMA return to action on Monday playing in its final two games of the Ripken Expierence in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Nittany Lions square off against Ancilla College at 1 p.m. and will battle Henry Ford College at 4 p.m.
