MONT ALTO, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto baseball team completed a seventh inning comeback for a 5-4 game one win, but Penn State Greater Allegheny countered by winning the nightcap by 5-1 score on Friday night.

In game one, Greater Allegheny jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a Josh Arroyo double in the bottom of the first. However, Mont Alto would respond chipping away at the lead with an RBI fielder's choice off the bat of junior Caleb Leggett (Williamsport, Md. / Williamsport). PSUGA would counter punch scoring a run in both the second and third innings building its lead to 4-1.

Mont Alto once again chipped away at the lead in the fourth when Hunter Martin (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) tripled to deep center field and scored a batter later when first basemen Brady Topper (Littlestown, Pa. / Littlestown) shot a ball right back up the middle. The same duo produced in the sixth inning with Martin reaching on a one-out single and Topper driving him in with an RBI double to center field, which cut the deficit to 3-4.

Jeremiah Younker (Hagerstown, Md. / Williamsport) produced a clutch at-bat in the top of the seventh with the tying run on third and Nick Jacoby (Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) on first with two outs, Younker tripled off the center field fence scoring both Jacoby and Chance McClure (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area). Lowell Singer (Newville, Pa. / Big Spring) worked past an error in the bottom half of the inning to earn his second win of season in complete game fashion.

In game two, Joel Clabaugh (Landisburg, Pa. /West Perry) scored the opening run on a Chance McClure (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) fielder's choice, but Greater Allegheny responded in the bottom half of the inning scoring a pair to make it 2-1 on an Adam Jacko double to center field. PSUGA broke the game open adding a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings for the final 5-1 margin.

Dan Daly limited Mont Alto to six hits in the complete game victory, while Spencer Meyers (Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle Antrim) suffered his fourth loss of the season after allowing five runs in 5.1 innings of work.
