USCAA and PSUAC Name Brady Topper Hitter of the Week

MONT ALTO, Pa. – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and the PSUAC selected Penn State Mont Alto junior third basemen Brady Topper (Littlestown, Pa. / Littlestown) as its hitter of the Week on Tuesday.

Topper had an outstanding week at the plate helping, Mont Alto to a 5-2 record, which included a pivotal series win over division leaders and defending USCAA National Champions PSU DuBois. He blasted four homers on the week, including a pair against DuBois and just missed out on hitting for the cycle on Saturday, needing only a triple.

Overall, six of his 10 hits were for extra bases as he collected 12 RBIs on the week. He currently leads the PSUAC with 35 RBIs and his four homers only trails teammates Jeremiah Younker (Hagerstown, Md. / Williamsport) and Hunter Martin (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) who have each slugged five apiece. Topper, a two-time USCAA All-American is having another fine season hitting .393 through 35 games this season.

Mont Alto (21-15, 9-3 PSUAC) hosts Penn State Fayette on Friday, April 19 for a nine-inning conference contest beginning at 2 p.m.
