Game Story

• Penn State Mont Alto got on the board early with two runs in the top of the second inning. Brady Bigler plated Gavin Kissel with a RBI double. Jared Pine scored Bigler on a sacrifice fly to take a 2-0 lead. Penn State Greater Allegheny responded with one run in the bottom half of the inning.

• Penn State Mont Alto went on to score nine unanswered runs over the span of four innings. In the fourth, Brady Bigler recorded another RBI single, scoring Caiden Smith. Caiden Smith recorded a RBI single in the top of fifth inning to push the lead to 4-1. Jared Pine capped off the fifth inning with a single which plated Caiden Smith to put Penn State Mont Alto ahead 6-1.

• Brady Bigler and Tyler Moreland highlighted insurance runs in the top of the seventh inning when they each registered two RBI base hits to push the advantage to 11-1.

• Logan Layton earned the win, going five innings and striking out five batters. Matt Huston and Luke Davis finished the game in relief, combining for 2 IP and allowing only two hits.

• Brady Bigler went 3 for 4 with a team-high five RBI's on the day with a double.

Game Story

• Jared Pine and Caiden Smith each homered in game two, pushing the Penn State Mont Alto win streak to six games.

• The offense backed up starting pitcher Zach Garlin with five runs in the first two innings. Jared Pine and Hayden Kissel led off the game with back-to-back singles. Caiden Smith connected on a three run home run plating Pine and Kissel. Garlin earned his fifth win on the season, going five innings while striking out six batters.

• Jared Pine scored Brady Bigler on his second home run of the season, pushing the Penn State Mont Alto lead to 5-0 after two innings.

• Douglas Painter hit a RBI triple in the bottom of the fourth inning to get Penn State Greater Allegheny on the board. 

• Penn State Mont Alto recorded five runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning to go out in front 11-2. Hayden Kissel had the big hit in the inning, a 2 RBI single scoring Pine and Bigler. 

• Collin Beech scored Caiden Smith on a RBI single in the seventh inning for Penn State Mont Alto's final run of the day, pushing the lead to 12-2.
