Reber, Glenn share cheerleader of the month honors

MONT ALTO, Pa. — The Penn State Mont Alto cheerleading squad has named its first cheerleaders of the month for the 2022-23 season.

Sophomore captain Alexis Reber (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and freshman Jaiden Glenn (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) share the honor for November.

Reber, a backspot/base and one of only two veterans on this year's team, and Glenn, a freshman flyer/base, were both lauded for their dedication in their teammates' nominations.

"Lexi has provided great veteran leadership for us already and her teammates looked up to her right off the bat," said Penn State Mont Alto Head Cheerleading Coach Jennifer Deinlein. "She is always there to lift her teammates — literally and figuratively — and even bakes treats for gameday, which of course they love too."

"Jaiden has also shown a lot of dedication already," continued Deinlein. "Even while dealing with a minor injury, she stayed on top of learning material and did what she could to help during stunting practice. She has so much energy and enthusiasm, it's contagious."

The cheerleader of the month is determined by team nominations and goes to a squad member who stands out in her efforts on and off the court.

The Penn State Mont Alto cheerleading squad cheers at all home men's and women's basketball games. They are in action next on Friday, Dec. 9 when both basketball teams take on Penn State DuBois.
