Mont Alto falls to Hood, 86-67

Penn State Mont Alto Men's basketball team faced Hood College for their last home game of the season.  Mont Alto was unable to pull through for the win but played well against the 5th ranked team of the Capital Athletic Conference.

"We were working on playing zone defense in getting ready for next week's conference game," Head Coach Ed Flory explains.  "We had a few starters who needed rest tonight and players came off the bench with great energy and intensity."  Sophomore Micheal Warrenfeltz's twenty-three minutes on the court guided him to lead Mont Alto with 13 points and two assists.  Warrenfeltz also drew two charges and had a three-point play but with the foul he converted it to four points with the free throw.  "It felt good to play and have the opportunity to make things happen.  Even though we were down the whole game we worked well together," Warrenfeltz comments.

Kevin Onyeaka also contributed 13 points, along with grabbing three rebounds.  Shane Santell sunk three out of the five three-pointers he attempted, plus two from the field, finishing with 11.  After starting the first half and playing a personal season high of thirty-two minutes, Cameron Bowens went 5-of-12 from the field and 50% at the free throw line, totaling 11 points for the sophomore guard.

Mont Alto travels to Penn State Dubois on Wednesday looking for a conference win to keep them in playoff territory.
