Penn State Mont Alto Athletics is proud to announce that Sophomore Shane Santell has been named USCAA Academic All-American.  Shane is majoring in Education and has been a starter for the Mont Alto Basketball team for two years, where he excelled on and off the court.  The guard from South Hagerstown High School played 21 games, averaging 11 points per game, along with grabbing 3 rebounds per game.  In the 2010-2011 season Santell led Mont Alto in three-pointers.  "Shane is truly an Academic-All American; he never missed a practice and gave 100% in all games.  Shane is not only a great athlete but a great student. His positive attitude will lead him to even more success in the future," Assistant Coach Micah Gingrich commented.
