Head Coach Jack Schenzel took a few minutes away from coaching to answer ten questions about himself for the Mont Alto Basketball fans.  Let's get to know the new coach leading our team to success!

1.    Where are you from? 

I was born in Chambersburg, Pa and I currently live in Falling Waters.  

2.    Why did you want to coach at Penn State Mont Alto? 

Penn State Mont Alto gave me my first chance to be a Head Coach at the college level.  It is a great place to be and I am really enjoying the experience so far.

3.    What are your goals for the season? 

Our team has a goal to win our division and make it to the Bryce Jordan Center for the Conference Final Four.

4.    Who is your favorite professional athlete, and why?  

My favorite professional athlete is Michael Jordan because he overcame not making his basketball team in 10th grade to become the greatest player ever with a drive to win that is unmatched.

5.    What are hobbies you enjoy other than coaching?

I enjoy spending time with my family and I enjoy playing golf. 

6.    Top five songs on your iPod…     

What is an IPOD?  Just kidding, I would say my top five would be the Party up in Here (DMX), Pride (U2), Lose Yourself (Eminem), Sandstorm (Darude), Up in Here (50cent) 

7.    All time favorite meal? 

Japanese Steakhouse Filet and Shrimp

8.    What motivates you?   

I set goals and work to achieve them. I am an extremely competitive person so competition is a big motivator.

9.    Most memorable moment playing sports. 

1994 ECAC championships I finished 2nd in the 500 meters and second in the 4 x 400 relay. The team won the conference championship, one of five we won while I was there.

10. My advice to the athletes. 

They need to have fun playing their sport. They should realize that they are here to get a great education.
