Mont Alto Men fall to McDaniel

Mont Alto Men fall to McDaniel

After the holiday break, Mont Alto set out to start off the new year with a win.  The outcome was not what they were hoping for.  Mont Alto fell 63-85 on Wednesday night to McDaniel College.

The first half started off slow for Mont Alto, trailing by eight before Derek Null hit the first jumper of the game for Mont Alto.  But they were never able to gain the lead.

"McDaniel, who has been on a hot streak since before break, caught up to us on our first game back since, December 11th.  We were rusty," commented Head Coach Jack Schenzel.

Keven King had 20 points, a team high, while Sharif Welton had 13 points and Jeremiah Mitchell added 12.

In the second half of the game, Mont Alto came out strong and stuck with McDaniel, but they were not able to make up for the point difference from the first half.

"We missed a lot of shots and McDaniel was well coached."

Welton led the team with 8 rebounds.  King, Mitchell and Colin Easter all added three rebounds.

Mont Alto takes on Central Penn away on Saturday, January 6th.
