Mont Alto Men fall to Fayette in a close game

Penn State Mont Alto Men's Basketball team took on Penn State Fayette Saturday, January 12th. Mont Alto was coming off two conference wins going into this game.  They were looking for their third straight win but came up a little short.  Mont Alto fell 61-69 to Fayette.

Mont Alto was leading 31-25 going into half time but Fayette came out strong in the second half.  They gained the lead with five minutes remaining in the game and never looked back.  Mont Alto was not able to catch back up, despite a great team effort.

"This was a very physical game and Fayette used that to their advantage.  I think to some degree the nature of the game and fact that this was our third game in four nights had an effect also. We have been playing better coming into this game but the second half tonight we just stopped playing our style of ball.  We have to get past this loss and move onto the next game against Brandywine," commented Coach Jack Schenzel.

The team was led by Cameron Bowens who had 17 points and Jeremiah Mitchell who had a double-double adding 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Penn State Mont Alto is back on the road on January 16th at Penn State Brandywine.
