The Mont Alto Men's Basketball team is on a roll. They have won seven games in a row and are undefeated so far this season. Mont Alto gained their second PSUAC victory against Penn College, 82-56.
"Anytime you get a win on the road in this league, it's a good thing," Head Coach Jack Schenzel comments. "Even though Penn College had a rough start to their season, they have a solid roster and solid coaching staff and I think they have a lot of potential."
Offensively, Mont Alto had contributions from everyone on the team. But two players had a stand out game, combined they scored 32 points for Mont Alto. Jerome Evans (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) came off the bench with a spark. During his 20 minutes of play, Evans went eight for ten from the free throw line, grabbed 10 rebounds and scored 16 points. Starting at guard, Bobby Ingram (Frederick, MD/Tuscarora) went seven for eight from the free throw line and added 16 points for Mont Alto.
"Bobby and Jerome both came alive and provided us with a punch of offense. We played 40 minutes of good defense and it was a great team effort," Coach Schenzel adds.
Mont Alto will host their last home game of the semester on Saturday December 7th against Hazleton at 12:00 p.m.
