Men's Basketball ranked in the PSUAC and USCAA

Eleven games played and eleven wins on the books for Mont Alto Men's Basketball.  It's been years since the men's basketball program has been undefeated and they plan to keep the winning streak going.

Mont Alto had a competitive schedule first semester, playing six PSUAC games and five non-conference games.  Two of the non-conference games were played in San Juan, Puerto Rico where Mont Alto defeated two teams that compete against NCAA DII programs.

The men have seen half of the teams from the PSUAC so far.  The next several games will be crucial wins for Mont Alto as they face York, Beaver and Wilkes-Barre, all of which are also undefeated in the PSUAC.

Mont Alto is currently ranked third in the 2013-2014 USCAA Division II Men's Basketball standings, 10th overall in power rankings and sixth in the most recent USCAA coaches poll.  In the PSUAC, Mont Alto is tied for first, third in points scored, second in field goal points and third in rebounds.

Devonte Merritt (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) is ranked first overall individually in field goal percentage in the PSUAC.

Mont Alto is looking towards another undefeated semester, the PSUAC Championship and the USCAA National Championship Tournament.

Mont Alto will host NCAA Division III McDaniel College on Saturday January 4th at 6:00pm.
