Men Rebound Big After Conference Loss....

The Mont Alto Men's Basketball team had to face a Conference loss early in the season on Sunday when Lehigh Valley beat them by 2 points.  However, with this came a decision to either get better, or lay down.  Luckily for Mont Alto basketball, Coach Schenzel and the captains wouldn't let them lay down.

This was proved tonight when the men traveled to Division III opponent Valley Forge University.  Senior Jeremiah Mitchell took matters into his own hands to lift his team up, coming off the bench to put up 26 points and grab 15 rebounds.  Mitchell and the bench pulled their weight to add 52 points including freshman guards, Bryan Ingram and Mykel Barber collectively hitting 5 for 7 from beyond the arc to add 23 points to that.

Jerome Evans and Devonte Merritt helped the cause on the boards grabbing 9 each, and the All-American Evans also put up 15 points.  It was a total team effort tonight with a team total 23 assists, and defensively holding the Patriots to 36.8% shooting.  Mont Alto won the game big, 90-74.

The men will be back in action quickly after the Thanksgiving break on Sunday when they travel to Division I Lehigh University.
