Men Bounce Back Strong...

Men Bounce Back Strong...

Mont Alto had won 22 straight home games until a few weeks ago when they suffered their first loss against Lynchburg University.  Mont Alto went on to lose the next 2 games at home, including a loss from conference opponent Lehigh Valley, and another from the reigning USCAA Division 1 National Champion's in Washington Adventist.

Tonight turned out a bit different for Mont Alto as they hosted PSUAC opponent Greater Allegheny.  Mont Alto had one thing in mind, and that was to get back to playing Mont Alto style of basketball.  Although a few tweeks still need taken care of, Mont Alto did it all tonight.

Corey Meyers stepped up in the first half, going 5 for 5 from the 3 point line, and ended with a season high 19 points.  Meyers aldo grabbed 6 rebounds, had 5 assists, and shot 6 for 7 from the field.

Mont Alto's Jeremiah Mitchell and Sharif Welton added 18 points a piece, with Welton having 2 huge blocks, and an ever crowd pleasing dunk that seemed to shake the building.

Mont Alto's Theo Remy, Cody Rydbom, and Devonte Merritt also scored in double figures, while Merritt also brought down a game high 9 rebounds.

Greater Allegheny's Fontanez tried to keep his team close as he scored 37 points while shooting 13 of 17 from the field, but Mont Alto waas too overpowering for the visitors.

Mont Alto will be back in action Sunday at 3:00pm when they host PSUAC opponent, Penn State Beaver.
