Men's Basketball Headed Back To The National Tournament...

Men's Basketball Headed Back To The National Tournament...

Mont Alto's Men's Basketball team waited patiently yesterday afternoon during the selection show for the USCAA National Tournament.  Even when they're name was called however, there was a contigency.  Being placed as a #9 seed initially along side Penn State Beaver hinging the outcome of the PSUAC Championship game being played an hour after the selection show.

Breaking it down, if Beaver won the PSUAC Championship game they would go as the #9 seed, and Mont Alto's year would be over.  If Penn State York won the PSUAC Championship game, Mont Alto would in turn be the #9 seed in the USCAA National Tournament.

Mont Alto held their breathe for 40 minutes during the game, but were able to give a good exhale as York pulled out the victory over Beaver, 108-96.

Mont Alto is officially now the #9 seed in the USCAA National Tournament, and is again playing Warren Wilson from North Carolina.  Mont Alto defeated Warren Wilson in the first round of the National Tournament last year, and will look to see the same result this year.

Mont Alto went on to lose to Penn State Beaver last year ironically, who they also lost to twice this season.

Mont Alto will be playing the first round game against Warren Wilson on Wednesday, March 4th at 8:00 pm in Uniontown, PA
