MONT ALTO, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto men's basketball team fell to Penn State Lehigh Valley at home on Tuesday, 81-59. Lehigh Valley improved to 2-6 shooting over 42 percent from the field in the Penn State University Athletic Conference win while also holding Mont Alto to 26 percent shooting from downtown.

Lehigh Valley had four Lions reach double figures in the contest, led by Jeremiah Jenkins who scored 25 points with Jonathan Buie adding a 21-point and 25-rebound effort. Jordan Gillis (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) led Mont Alto with 15 points, while Jalen Smith (Ranson, W. Va. / Jefferson) came up just shy of his second straight double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Smith also added a pair of steals and a block.

Mont Alto (4-4, 1-2 PSUAC) kept within striking distance of PSU Lehigh Valley until a little after the midway point of the second half, trailing by 8-points after a Jordan Gillis (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) 3-pointer made it 61-53 at the 6:56 mark. Lehigh Valley would stymie Mont Alto's offensive attack holding the home team to a pair of made baskets on a 20-4 run to end the game.

Men's basketball will look to even its conference record when the team gets back on the road on Friday, December 8 at Penn State Schuylkill. The contest will be the team's final PSUAC matchup before the holidays with the team participating in a pair of non-conference games against Penn Highlands and Lock Haven University in a week and a half. Playing a doubleheader against Schuylkill with the women, the men's game is set for an 8 p.m. tip in Schuylkill Haven.
