By: Frank Maira, Assistant Director of Athletics/Sports Information Director

MONT ALTO, Pa. –The Penn State Mont Alto men's basketball team announced that it has added 10 newcomers to the program this fall for the 2019-20 season.

"I am really excited about this year's recruiting class as it has the potential to be one of the best we have brought into Mont Alto during my time here," head coach Jack Schenzel said. "We have added several pieces that can play multiple positions and we will be better defensively this year with the length and athleticism that this class has. I believe all of these young me are going to be great fits as most of them were at least two-year starters at big high school programs. We expect to be solid this year because we feel that this group has a high basketball IQ and a very strong work ethic."

The recruited student-athletes will join a Mont Alto team that reached the PSUAC Tournament semifinals and USCAA National Tournament after a 20-9 overall record and their 16-3 mark in conference was the best in the PSUAC West. There are six returners on the roster including junior guard Quintyn Flemister (Harrisburg, Pa. / Harrisburg) who was named the PSUAC West Defensive Player of the Year a season ago.
