Mont Alto finishes second on home course and brings home first place from Penn College
Mont Alto finished second Thursday, September 15th with 345 points. Sophomore Chris Rhein shot an 81 to lead the Lions. Freshmen Chase King, C.J. Snow and Derrik Brennan each shot an 88, while Seth Martin shot a 91 and Jake Hoover shot a 92. Penn College finished first overall with 336 points.
The conditions were wet and very cool. "We didn't put forth our best effort today at our opening match. There is now plenty of room for improvement," Coach Bill Burke commented.

The Mont Alto Golf team came back from falling to Penn College on their own home course to traveling to Williamsport where they won by eight strokes. "It was a nice win for Mont Alto. Our captain (Chris Rhein) had an off day and the younger guys picked up the slack," Coach Burke explained. "This was Penn College's first loss on their home course in recent memory.
Derrik Brennan had a great round today. It was nice to see him post a tournament low score of 77 on a par 72 course."
