State College, PA - The 2011 USCAA/ PSUAC Golf Championships will be taking place October 10 - 11, 2011 at University Park's Blue Course in State College, PA.  The United States Collegiate Athletic Association has 84 institutions in 24 states throughout the country.  The Penn State University Athletic Conference consists of 15 Penn State campuses across Pennsylvania.  The PSUAC has seen considerable growth and development over the past few years and the conference is extremely proud of the increased opportunities that have been provided for the student-athletes.  We are proud to be hosting the top collegiate golf teams and student-athletes in the USCAA.  There will be 23 teams participating in this year's Championship.  The 2-time defending Champion, Rochester College will be among that list of teams along with 2-time defending PSUAC Champion, Penn State Mont Alto.  Registration and check-in begins on Sunday, October 9th with a Coaches meeting that night at 8:00 p.m.  at the Ramada Inn.  The first round of the USCAA/PSUAC Championships will begin at 8:00 a.m.  on Monday, October 10th.  The Final Round of the USCAA Championship will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11th, with the course being available for play at 8:00 a.m. that same morning.  Immediately following the Final Round there will be a coaches meeting and an Awards Ceremony, which is mandatory for all teams to attend. There will also be a banquet to conclude the tournament.

This is the third year for the Blue Course to host the USCAA/PSUAC Golf Championship.  The Blue Course has been known to be challenging with its recent upgrades. The course has been lengthened and now includes water hazards several  holes.  There will be two rounds played in the Championship. Each round will consist of 18 holes of stroke play.  If there is inclement weather, the total number of holes will be reduced to 18.  Spectators are asked to stay behind the roped areas that will be marked off and are encouraged to maintain an appropriate distance from the participants.  There will not be golf carts provided for spectators, however, those who need assistance will be shuttled to several different viewing areas on the course.  If you would like special assistance, please coordinate with the Club House front desk.
