Mont Alto falls by one stroke to Penn College

Mont Alto Golf team traveled to Brandywine to play their second match of the season in Media, PA.  They played the par 70 course at Edgmont Country Club.

Chase King was first for Mont Alto and second overall with an 80, five strokes behind the medalist from New Kensington.  As a team, Mont Alto placed second overall, only trailing by one stroke to Penn College.  Charlie Snow was only three strokes behind King with an 83 finishing 4th overall.  Brandon Rojas also placed in the top ten with an 86, sharing #9 spot with two others.

"Everyone had a bad hole or two along the way," Coach Bill Burke comments.  "Hopefully we will play better on Monday at Hazleton.  We don't have a lot of time left until the PSUAC/USCAA Championships roll around in October."

Due to inclement weather the Lehigh Valley and Wilkes-Barre matches were both canceled previously in the season. With only their home match played so far this season, Mont Alto has only one more match until the PSUAC/USCAA Championships.

The team will travel to Hazleton on Monday, October 1st for their last PSUAC conference match of the season.
