Golf drops to Penn College, Chase King places first

On Monday the golf team traveled to Hazleton for their third match of the season on the Valley Country Club par 71 course.  The greens were as fast as the team will see all season.  Penn College took the number one spot overall with a score of 346 and Mont Alto wasn't far behind with a 351.

"We fell short again to Penn College.  Only two strokes separated us and Penn College over the regular season first place team," Coach Bill Burke comments.

"Penn College will be a main competition in State College next week.  Hopefully, we can bring home another PSUAC Championship."

Chase King finished first overall for his second time this season.  King and Jordan Blankenhorn from Schuylkill both shot an 81 tying for the medalist spot.  Mont Alto's next golfer was Adam Poulson coming in 10th overall with an 87.

The Mont Alto Golf team is looking forward to prepare for the PSUAC/USCAA Championships being held at the Blue Course in State College, PA October 7th-9th.
