Mont Alto Golf traveled to Penn State New Kensington's Invitational at the Links at Spring Church on Thursday August 29th for their first match of the season. Mont Alto came in second place in PSUAC behind Dubois. The top ten golfers consisted of players from Mont Alto Dubois only. Although Mont Alto had three golfers in the top ten, Dubois doubled that number with six, giving them the top score of 326. Returner's for Mont Alto, Adam Poulson and C.J. Snow were at the top for Mont Alto. Cory Eberly was a few strokes behind with an 85 for the day. "We need to work on our course management skills and short games. We are looking to improve over the season," Coach Bill Burke comments.
Mont Alto will be hosting their next match at Penn National Golf Course on Wednesday September 4th at 11:00 a.m.
