Golf Team Finishes Ninth at the Dickinson College Fall Invitational

CARLISLE, Pa. – Senior Austin Green (Greencastle, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) carded a three-over par 75 in leading the Penn State Mont Alto golf team to a ninth-place finish at the Dickinson Fall Invitational, which was held at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Course. Green, who was named both PSUAC and USCAA Golfer of the Week earlier in the afternoon finished tied for 18th overall.

Mont Alto finished ninth in the team standings out of 13 schools with a combined score of 346.

Freshman Cameron Lee (Warrenton, Va. / Fauquier) finished his round with 86 strokes, which tied him for 45th-place. Sophomore Robert Sirk (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) carded a 90 and freshman Noah Witmer (Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle Antrim) shot a 18-over par 95 to compete the Lions team score.

Matthew Lynerd (Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle Antrim) carded a round of 101 in his second collegiate event after finishing with an 89 at the PSUAC White Course Invitational.

Penn State Mont Alto tees off next at the Penn State Fayette Invitational, held at the Duck Hollow Golf Club on Saturday, September 15.
