BARNESVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto golf team was back in action on Wednesday competing at the Penn State Schuylkill Invitational at the Mountain Valley Golf Club.
Mont Alto carded a team score of 372 as the team finished seventh in the 10-team field. PSU Lehigh Valley won their second-straight invitational as it took the team title with a score of 311.
Paul Steiger (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) carded the lowest round for Mont Alto with an 81. Hunter Reath (Mercersburg, Pa. / James Buchanan) turned in a 86 and Erika Cauffman (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) was right behind him with a 92.
The Nittany Lions return to action at the Elizabethtown Invitational at 12 p.m. at the Hershey Country Club on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
