The Penn State Mont Alto golf team traveled to Mill Race Golf Course to compete in the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Invitational on Thursday. Brennan Sease led the Mont Alto scorers with a 78 and Brogan Beall was right behind with a 79.
The conditions were tough all day with sustainable winds and temperatures near 60. Many holes were lined with difficult to hit fairways and water hazards on several holes. The challenge didn't stop the Nittany Lions as they finished 3rd place out of 7 teams.
Josh Bump and Stephen Lucas each carded an 86, Darian Mort shot an 88 and Jared Pine recorded a 94 to round out the scoring for Penn State Mont Alto.
The team will travel to Penn State DuBois on Sunday for their final tune up before the PSUAC/USCAA Championships held at State College on October 10-11.
