Mont Alto golfers finish up strong season

The Penn State Mont Alto golf team wrapped up the second round of the PSUAC/USCAA Championships at the Blue Course in State College, Pa on Tuesday morning. The team finished 12th overall and several participants came home with some hardware.

 

Darian Mort paced Penn State Mont Alto where he tied for 25th place, carding a 79 on Tuesday. With his performance, Mort was named to the PSUAC All-Conference team. Mort's round of 79 was a five stroke improvement from Monday's first round.

 

 

Brogan Beall carded an 88 on Tuesday, finishing with 172 total strokes and finishing in a tie for 58th place. Beall shot an 84 on Monday during round one. Beall was also named the Penn State Mont Alto John Fritz Sportsmanship Award winner for the 2022 season.

 

Brennan Sease was close behind Beall, shooting an 83 on Tuesday. Sease finished tied for 63rd. 

 

Jared Pine carded a 90 on Tuesday, finishing in a tie for 73rd place.

 

Stephen Lucas finished tied for 77th place after he carded a 91 after shooting a 90 on Monday. Lucas was named to the USCAA All-American team following the event. 

 

Josh Bump recorded a round of 96 after finishing with a 89 on Monday. His 185 stroke total put him in a tie for 87th place.
