Mont Alto, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill scored a pair of first half goals that were 23 seconds apart with the Antonio Franco effort proving to be the game-winner in a 3-1 win over Mont Alto.

Penn State Mont Alto was the aggressor for most of the match dominating possession, but was unable to slip a goal past Schuylkill keeper Brad Fryer. The Lions outshot PSU Schuylkill by a 19-9 margin and held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.

For the majority of the second half, Penn State Mont Alto was camped out in the offensive third of the field and finally broke through on a penalty kick. Nathan Woleslagle (Duncannon, Pa. / Susquenita) converted the attempt for his third goal of the season.

PSU Schuylkill added the insurance goal on the counter attack with Tyler Yeakel scoring the goal in the 88th minute. The loss dropped Mont Alto to 1-10 overall and 1-4 in the PSUAC.

The Lions return to action in a road match at Penn State Worthington Scranton on Wednesday, October 4. First kick is scheduled for 4 p.m.
