TAKOMA PARK, Md. – Despite their best efforts the Penn State Mont Alto men's soccer team were unable to revenge an earlier season home loss to Washington Adventist on Monday evening dropping its final game of the 2017 season to the Shock by a 5-1 score.

Klem Garcia put Washington Adventist on the board in the 7th minute scoring an unassisted goal. Kingsley Nwosu joined the action assisting Garcia for his second goal of the contest and extending the Shock lead to 2-0. Washington Adventist would add another pair of goals extending its lead to 4-0 right after the halftime break.

Mont Alto found its breakthrough in the 79th minute when freshman Nathan Woleslagle (Duncannon, Pa. / Susquenita) assisted on a Will Gray (Coatesville, Pa. / Coatesville Area) effort. The goal marked the sophomore midfielders second in the past three matches. The Shock added an insurance effort in the 80th minute when Gabriel Soto scored a goal assisted by Modou Touray.

The Lions concluded the 2017 season with a 2-17 record and were officially eliminated from postseason play with Monday's loss. Coach Carey will look to build off this seasons triumphs with an offseason of hard work and program building as they will look for a fresh start next fall.
