Men’s Soccer Falls 1-0 to PSU New Kensington

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – Nolan Johngarlo scored the only goal of the match in the 7th minute as the Penn State New Kensington men's soccer team held on for the 1-0 win over Mont Alto on Friday afternoon.

Johngarlo scored on a crossing feed from Brady Braun for his sixth goal of the season. The 7th minute effort turned out to be the only goal of the game with New Kensington also holding a 24-11 advantage in shots.

Freshman Bryce Palamar (Smithsburg, Md. / Williamsport) led Mont Alto with six shots, which included three placed on the goal frame. Goalkeeper Austin Moore (Brockway, Pa. / Brockway Area) finished the match with eight saves for the Lions.

The Mont Alto men's soccer team remain on the road with another PSUAC conference match at Penn State Brandywine on Sunday. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
