Men's Soccer: Penn State Greater Allegheny 3, Penn State Mont Alto 1
WHITE OAK, Pa.- Following a 2-0 defeat to Penn State Beaver on Saturday, Mont Alto men's soccer made the short trek to Penn State Greater Allegheny on Sunday afternoon. Two early first half goals for GA made the difference in the contest as Mont Alto fell 3-1.
Jermalle Leonce scored in the 9th minute for GA as they took a 1-0 advantage on an assist from Alex Brown. Noah Carson would add onto the advantage with an unassisted tally in the 30th minute.
Sixteen minutes into the second half, Brown added a goal to push the lead to three for the home squad. Mont Alto's Connor Ford scored his first goal of the season to trim the lead 3-1 midway through the second half.
Ford paced the Mont Alto offensive attack with three shots, Jawad Malik stopped nine of his 12 shots on goal in the losing effort Sunday.
