Monaca, Pa- #2 seeded Penn State Mont Alto played against #1 seeded Penn State Beaver in the 2012 PSUAC Championship game; where Beaver went on to win 2-1. Mont Alto finished in second in the PSUAC in regular conference play and at the PSUAC tournament.

Mont Alto trailed 2-0 before Freshman Mackenzie Trafka (Middletown, PA/Middletown High School) hit a double, scoring in Freshman Carley Nickles (Susquehannock). But Beaver kept Mont Alto to only one run.

Trafka and Freshman Jami Ross (James Buchanan) each recorded a double.

Mont Alto sits on a 23-4 record. They are waiting to hear if they will be making a trip to the National Tournament.

The USCAA National tournament is held in Akron, Ohio starting on Tuesday, May 17th. Schedule has not been announced.
