Penn State Mont Alto Women's Softball team faced Frederick Community College on Monday April 14^th.

Mont Alto took the lead, 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning.

In the second inning, Mont Alto went scoreless while FCC scored three runs off a fielding error.  The score was 3-1 going into the fourth.

Mont Alto trailing by two, never could not get their bats going as they swung 8-28 only having one RBI. Diamond Byers (Greencastle, PA) was 2-4 batting with two runs. Samantha Gladhill (Cascade, MD) went 2-3 at bat.  

Mont Alto scored again in the 7^th inning but fell short, losing the first game 5-3.

The second game ended early due to the mercy rule in the 6^th inning.  

Mont Alto had a number of errors in the game that affected them on the field which Frederick Community College took advantage of.

Mont Alto has three days to prepare for conference opponent Penn State Brandywine. They will be playing on the road, this being their third straight away game.
