The first game today against conference opponent Penn State Brandywine was a close one for the Mont Alto softball team.  With Brandywine getting on the score board first in the bottom of the 2nd, Mont Alto would have trouble getting a run early on.  Finally in the top of the 6th Mont Alto's Brooke Porter would hit her second home run of the season on a solo shot out of the park.

Cassidy Feaser and Alyssa Munns would combine on the mound to only give up 5 hits and 2 runs, but those 2 runs would be enough  for Brandywine to take the first game, 2-1.

The second game was the exact opposite for both teams as the bats and runs came on strong.  Unfortunately for Mont Alto, Brandywine was able to hit 3 home runs, and put 14 runs across the plate for the game.

Mont Alto scored 6 runs on 9 hits, but left 6 on base.  Alyssa Munns pitched the complete game for Mont Alto.

Mont Alto will be back in action at home on Thursday when they host USCAA opponent, Christendom College at 4:30pm.
