Mont Alto softball hosted conference opponent Penn State Scranton today in a double header.  The first game was all defensive as the teams totaled only 10 hits and 3 runs total between each other.  Mont Alto it up the board first with a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 2nd from Krista Feaser.  

Scranton came back with a run of their own in the top of the 3rd, but those would be the only runs for either team.  Cassidy Feaser held Scranton to 4 hits in 5 innings from the mound unti Alyssa Munns came in for relief in the 6th.  Munns held Scranton to 3 hits in the final 2 innings.

Scranton's Mackenzie Moore held Mont Alto to ony 3 hits for her 6 innings of work, but it was enough for Mont Alto to win the game, 2-1.

In the 2nd game the Mont Alto bats woke up as they had 9 hits and 8 runs against Scranton in ony 3 and 2/3 innings.  

Alyssa Munns pitched a complete game, 2 hit shutout for Mont Alto as they won the game, 8-0.

Mont Alto will travel to Penn State Fayette on Saturday for another PSUAC double header.
