USCAA Announces Softball End-of-Year Accolades

Mont Alto, Pa. – Penn State Mont Alto's Kaitlyn Whiteaker was recognized as an Honorable Mention All-American by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. Teammates Krista Feaser, Cassidy Feaser and Alexandra Zombro were named to the 2017 USCAA National All-Academic Team as the accolades were announced recently at the USCAA Championship banquet on Sunday, May 14.

Kaitlyn Whiteaker put together her most complete season during her senior year as a Lion. Whiteaker led the team with a .373 batting average, which ranked 19th in the PSUAC. She played all over the diamond appearing in 81 games, Whiteaker amassed 57 hits, 23 RBI's, scored 32 runs and had six stolen bases.

Krista Feaser, Cassidy Feaser and Alexandra Zombro were recognized on the USCAA National All-Academic Team after having 24 or more credits on their USCAA transcripts with each of their cumulative grade point averages being 3.50 or greater. Mont Alto finished fifth in the PSUAC West Standings with an overall record of 9-15 and the Lions were 7-13 in conference play.
