Area Youth Learn New Skills To Excel

Area Youth Learn New Skills To Excel

The Penn State Women's Basketball Coaching Staff put on a free clinic Thursday evening for local area girls.  Head Coach Paul Lundy, and Assistant Coaches Mary Miller and Ashley Benedick went through drills that will help the girls develop skills that will be useful to them for their upcoming seasons.

The two hour free clinic consisted of ball handling, shooting, and passing drills that the girls can practice on their own to become better players for their own teams.  A nutritional information session was also given to help the girls to understand the importance of an athlete's food and hydration consumption while burning so many calories.

With the opportunity to help out the local community Penn State Mont Alto looks to have many more free clinics throughout the year for all sports, and encourages young kids to come out and enjoy the fun.
