The Mont Alto Women's Basketball team took part in National Reading Day this year at Cumberland Valley Christian School in Chambersburg. The ladies enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of something that promoted an educational cause, as well as to get the chance to help out the community.
The Mont Alto ladies read to approximately 60 students in the K4 and K5 classes before they left to travel to their game against Mid-Atlantic Christian College in North Carolina.

"We were happy to have the chance to promote reading skills with 4 and 5 year olds. Reading opens the door to worlds of adventure and opportunity. In addition to reading to the elementary students we also had the chance to interact with 7th and 8th graders. We were able to promote education and the doors that learning can open with Middle School students.
Our girls had a great time spreading a love of reading and spending time with the kids today."
The Mont Alto ladies will be playing their next home game on Wednesday, February 4th at 6:00pm against Penn State Wilkes Barre.
