As the Mont Alto women's basketball team gets set to start their season on Friday at Davis College we caught up with Head Coach Paul Lundy to find out his expectations for his team this season.

-Coach, after making the PSUAC playoff tournament last season, are your expectations higher this season, for this team?

Yes, we want to establish ourselves as a contender with a chance to win the conference title every year.  We would love to advance past the PSUAC quarter-finals this season.

-How are the freshman helping so far this year, and how is the team chemistry?

Our freshman are adapting to our system and contributing in practice.  We have high expectations for them.

-How do you plan to get this year's team back to the PSUAC playoff's, and go even deeper in the tournament?

To advance to the PSUAC semifinals, and championship we need to tighten up defensively, improve our shooting percentage and consistency, and establish a strong interior presence.

-What is an area that you need to be more prepared in as a coach this season than last?

We need to continue getting better at breaking down film and using the available technology to be ready for our opponents.

Coach Lundy and the Mont Alto team open their season up tomorrow at the Davis College Invitational Tournament in New York.
