FREDRICK, Md. – The Penn State Mont Alto women's basketball team fell to the Hood Blazers 82-50 in a road contest on Tuesday.

- Charity Miller (Greencastle, Pa. / James Buchanan) poured in a game-high 29 points for Penn State Mont Alto. Miller shot 45.5 percent from 3-point range and the sophomore guard has scored in double-figures in nine out of the 11 games this season for the Nittany Lions.
- Mont Alto held a brief 5-4 lead after a Julianne Noveras (Gaithersburg, Md. / Gaithersburg) old fashioned 3-point play and a Charity Miller (Greencastle, Pa. / James Buchanan) layup. Hood College went on to retake the lead and didn't let look back.
- Karley Coleman (Hanover, Pa. / Delone Catholic) dished out five assists, collected five rebounds and scored five points in the loss.
How it Happened
- Mont Alto stayed close in the first quarter with it's 3-point shooting and trailed the Blazers 17-15 at the end of the quarter.
- The Blazers built its lead in the second quarter and went on a 16-0 run and went into the halftime break with a 39-24 lead.
- Hood used a balanced scoring attack with 44 bench points and outrebounded the Nittany Lions 52-33.
- Charity Miller (Greencastle, Pa. / James Buchanan) scored 11 of her game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter.
