The Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference Playoffs get started this weekend with the first round games. Penn State Mont Alto earned the #3 seed in the west division and will play host to the #6 seed from the west, Penn State DuBois. Penn State Mont Alto is playing arguably its best basketball at the right time, going 8-3 in its last 11 conference matchups. Penn State Mont Alto has defeated Penn State DuBois twice earlier this season, and will look for its third straight when it matters most. 

 

First meeting:

Penn State Mont Alto 72, Penn State DuBois 62

Madison Bishop was key off the bench for Penn State Mont Alto, scoring 17 points on 6 of 10 shooting. Mariah Martin (15), Brianna Muldrow (13) and Alexia Hackett (10) were the other starters in double-digits scoring. Shannon Shaw was a key offensive weapon for Penn State DuBois as she scored 15 points and went 4 for 4 from downtown.

Brianna Muldrow (15) led the Penn State Mont Alto scoring attack and Naliyah Hadley chipped in 12 points off the bench. Penn State Mont Alto made 50% of its long range attempts, converting on 7/14 attempts. Penn State Mont Alto held the opposition to 29% from the field (20 of 69).
