Balanced scoring attack surges Mont Alto past Trinity Washington

MONT ALTO, Pa – Penn State Mont Alto had five players with 10 or more points on Monday evening in a big win against NCAA opponents Trinity Washington University. Kaleigh Hartman posted a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds and was joined by teammate Dariana Perez who put up 10 points and 11 assists. Autumn Fischer was also a big contributor with 17 points.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-Kaleigh Hartman and Autumn Fischer opened the scoring to put Mont Alto up 4-0 early in the first quarter

-Trinity Washington's Hermela Shimels hit a jumper to bring her team within three with 4:50 left in the first

-Mont Alto took off and never looked back as they went on a 22-0 run that was capped off on a jumper from Dariana Perez with 4:12 left in the second quarter

-With 6:23 left in the third quarter, Kaleigh Hartman hit a three-pointer to help Mont Alto extend their lead 50-16

-Brooklyn Merryman laid the ball in with 3:10 left in the contest to give Mont Alto a 50-point advantage – their biggest of the evening

Danet Harris – 7 points, 7 rebounds

 

Penn State Mont Alto Leaders:

Kaleigh Hartman – 20 points, 10 rebounds
