Mont Alto Wrestling hosted their first meet on Friday against The Apprentice School. The gymnasium was full of energy both on the mats and in the stands. There were eleven weight classes that competed and they were all evenly matched for the most part. Apprentice came to Mont Alto with very strong wrestling team.
"The match on Friday night against The Apprentice School was intense," Head Coach Bruce Kocsis explains. "We agreed to use the Option Team Scoring System and it made the match very exciting to watch."
The Mont Alto wrestler's made a comeback in the middle weights and was up 58-51 going into the last match at heavy weight (285). Mont Alto lost 66-58.
