The Mont Alto Wrestling team is back in action and added another win to their record so far this semester.
Mont Alto is currently ranked 13th overall in the NCWA, National Collegiate Wrestling Association, in the Men's Division I program out of over 70 teams. In the PSUAC, Mont Alto remains undefeated.
Mont Alto hosted University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) at Gettysburg Area High School on Thursday. Mont Alto defeated UMBC, 33-21. Mont Alto won six of the ten weight classes and recorded four pins.
"Thursday's match against UMBC was expected," Head Coach Bruce Kocsis comments. "The match was closer than I expected but UMBC came to wrestle. The middle weights and upper weights pulled the team to the victory."
