Clay Kocsis Entrenches Name in Mont Alto Wrestling Record Books

Mont Alto, Pa. – Competing Jan. 14 in the Will Abele Invitational at Ursinus College, Clay Kocsis of the wrestling team went 4-0 to push past the 100-win mark for his career with the Lions - the first at Mont Alto to achieve that milestone.

The Gettysburg, Pa., native was honored for his incredible achievement on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the PSU Mont Alto Spring Duals where he was presented with a plaque from the athletic department. The senior beat opponents from Thaddeus Stevens, PSU Dubois and PSU Fayette to improve to 16-0 this season and is 110-10 for his career. The 16-0 mark is ranked 2nd in the nation at the 174 pound weight class. He also has been recognized as PSUAC Wrestling Athlete of the Week on Jan. 17 and 31.

Kocsis along with the rest of the PSU Mont Alto wrestling team return to action Sunday, Feb. 12 when the team hosts the Mont Alto Duals. Matches are slated to begin at 1 p.m.
