Bryce Palamar Grabs a Victory at Petrofes Invitational at Messiah College

GRANTHAM, Pa. – Bryce Palamar (Smithsburg, Md. / Williamsport) earned a thrilling 7-5 overtime decision over Yonboue Goodall Tanco from Mulenhburg College for his fifth win of the season. The Penn State Mont Alto wrestling team competed at the Petrofes Invitational on Friday as Palamar moved up the 141-pound bracket before falling to Sean Thomas via a technical fall.

In addition to Mont Alto, the event featured a strong field that consisted of 14 other teams from across the nation. Dan Bertram (Seaford, N.Y. / Seaford), Mason Blank (Lancaster, Pa. / Lampeter-Strasburg), Noah Kendrick (Hanover, Pa. / Delone Catholic), Mitchell Krcelic (Untington Beach, Ca. / Saint Mary's International School), Joe Mays (Glen Rock, Pa. / Susquehannock) and Aric Smoker (Newville, Pa. / Big Spring) were unable to score wins in their boats as each competitor went 0-2 in their respective divisions. 

Penn State Mont Alto returns to action in a little over a month when they will compete at the Will Abele Invitational at Ursinus College. The wrestling invite is slated to begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, January 12.
